Default ABS light: New wheel bearing

My google fu has failed me. I've seen a few threads on this topic, but can't find them now.

I installed a timken wheel bearing assembly & the abs/tc lights come on.
Is there a fix for this or is this something annoying that I have to bring to the dealer to fix?

Did you install a new sensor?

Synth,

The new hub should have a wire coming off of it. Make sure that it's plugged in good. Maybe disconnect the battery for 10 minutes then reconnect to see if that helps.

The connector felt like it clicked in properly.
I will try to disconnect the battery & report back.

I disconnected the battery for 10 min, reconnected the negative & it still shows the same error.

I know that I can connect the old hub to see if the symptom goes away. Will that point to a bad hub sensor?

Any other ways to reset stabilitrak?

Edit:

I did a little reading & an unrelated abs problem & solution came up.
Only the driver's side wheel bearing/hub assembly was replaced. I will do the other when I have time. The solution stated that both have to be replaced to get rid of a false ABS failure. Does this make sense?

Reading on the Chevy forums most commonly it seems to be a missed connection when going back together, or replacing things in pairs, as you're leaning toward. People seem to have good results replacing wheel speed sensors in pairs.

Thanks for doing the research.
I'll have to wait to do the other hub once the weather is bearable. I bet that's the problem. I feel much better about the situation.

At least I can say that both the lower ball joint, wheel hub and Cv joint was worn out beyond belief. I can tell tattoos it's riding better.

I ordered them from D-max store. They have a lifetime warranty.

As flyday58, I'm just hoping that it's because I didn't replace them in pairs.
I know the 08s/09s are a different platform, ecm, etc so there could be a different way in how the vehicle detects ABS.
