About to buy an H2.....
 

Hello all, this looks like a really good forum! I want to buy an H2, 2008 MY or later. I'm looking at several in the Detroit area in the $35k to $50k range. I'm an old guy, used to vacuum and compression and feeler gages. Are there a few things you would suggest that I look at, some known problem areas? I plan to have it on a hoist for a mechanic to look over. Thanks for your help!!!!

chassis rust
brake lines
rotted fuel pump housing
water leaks from sunroof or roof lights
check shift cable bushing on the transmission it is plastic . gets brittle and pops off

Also look for low mileage. There's a couple low milers in PA. 2008 36,648 miles - 2009 60,416 miles
Btw, the 2008 is an EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A CLEAN UNMOLESTED H2! :cool:
