Need one to paint. Stripping chrome is too risky for durability. Anyone anywhere please.

I just have an LE silver ice grill. I painted my chrome plastic grill by using dp90 first on the chrome then painted it. Did it like 6 years ago and still looks great.

 

LE Silver Ice? I would like factory painted in any color so I can have my body shop paint it to match my Greystone Metallic. Would the grille you have fir my 2008? And if so how much? I tried to message you but can’t figure out how. .

 

You can get a new grill that comes primed from dealership but it’s 450. Maybe sell yours and offset the cost. I would think that a modern shop could scuff and use adhesion promoters and sealer and get good results. I just had all my plastic painted and if they can get amazing results with that mess I would think that they could make it happen for your grill. Maybe it comes painted your color?

I agree, scuffing with a good adhesion promoter would do the trick. I got Raptor Liner to stick to all my plastics. It's all in the prep.

 

LE silver ice grill $580. You can powder coat it any color. This is not the chrome plastic grill on your H2. This installs in front of it. Any truck or car that hits it their vehicle will be totaled. This is like 45 lbs. I usually sell these for $700-$750. Just sold a black one for $700 to. Guy in Canada. This one will need to be powder coated whatever color you want it to be.
