My 2005 H2 mirrors have a small icon etched in the glass to indicate the mirrors can be heated when the button on the dash is pushed. I have looked at a 2006-2007 mirror and it does not have the icon etched into the glass. I have no way to know if I was looking at a mirror with the heating option or not. Do the 2006-2007 heated mirrors have this icon or did GM get rid of it all together?

 

I thought the mirrors are always heated, thats how they were in my avalanche. I may to double check but I thought the buttons on the dash are for your front and rear defrosters only...

 

on my 2005 H2 the old style mirrors had the defrost icon on them, in december the mirrors were replaced with the new designed mirrors like on the 2006 and up H2's, just looked and they dont have the defrost icon on them ,however just like the ones on the 2005 ones the new ones heat up when your press the rear defroster button on dash , its in the owners manuel for a 2005 H2 (page 2-47) ...
