Tire Change on Hutchinson Alpha Wheels
Looking for recs on a tire shop in Los Angeles who has experience changing tires on Alpha wheels. Also, how much did you pay?
|
Don't know about LA. I always took my two Alphas and all my other H1s to Mike Sabaresse at Tustin GMC/Hummer. Mike is still there and Tustin GMC does a robust H1 service business.

Thanks. I recall the last time I spoke to them (~2 yrs ago), they couldn't do it. But, I'll reach out again to confirm.
|
They can they just may not have wanted to at the time. Tell Mike his good buddy Dave from Texas sent you there.
|
Might also try Hummercore. They might know someone in your area that will do them.

Yes, I have checked there too. The problem is that the labor gets in to the thousands (plus about $2k for the tires). I know this is the primary reason that people take off these wheels and put on aftermarket wheels. Just was curious to see if anyone had a shop that had experience and was reasonably priced.

If you’re looking for a tire shop in Los Angeles experienced with Alpha wheels, VIP Exotic Wheels, Davis Bros Tires, and Melrose Tires Wheels & Hubcaps are solid options. Prices for mounting and balancing typically run $20–$40 per tire, though larger or run‑flat tires can cost more. Always call ahead to confirm they’ve worked with wheels like yours and check if TPMS service is included.

Last Alpha tire change I did ran about $100/wheel.
