Hummer H1The original Hummer, which brought the Hummer look to the public eye during Desert Storm, with the addition of some features that make the H1 more of a street vehicle and less of a Army truck
Hello, ... brand new to the forum and Hummer community.
I just picked up my '96 H1 wagon yesterday and am looking for a mechanic in the LA area. I'm in the San Fernando Valley (Sylmar).
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. ... and if there are any other Hummer H1 owner in the LA area I would love to connect up and chat. I know there is a lot for me to get my head wrapped around with this vehicle and would love to chat with other owners.
Thanks!!

Mike Sabaresse at Tustin GMC in Tustin, CA ( Orange County ) is the best H1 mechanic in the country. Mike was one of the first AMG trained mechanics and has been doing it ever since. Mike and his mechanics have a H1 only area at Tustin GMC.
First, I just wanted to have the truck looked at, mechanically, since I'm not a mechanic. And also, the AC and Heater wasn't working, as well as some of the power windows and door locks. ... I've since had those things fixed by someone near me (I'm in Sylmar). ...but otherwise I'm always looking for other H1 folks to connected up with and teach me a thing or two about these trucks.
@Zen Dude Mark is the H1 Krypton green as well? Pretty funny to see you on here what kind of crazy person is into tiny sports cars and also massive Hummers.
Also if you haven't found a shop yet I bought my truck from a company called Hummer core they also do repairs on them.
LOL!!! ... I've always been a 4-wheeler at heart!! And have wanted an H1 since the day they came out. Here's an old pic... (before I did the lift and put 40's on it. Man I LOVE this thing!!
