Hello i just wanted To ask if i could change a 2003 hummer h1 dashboard to an 2004 & 2006 dashboard

I have been told by AMG reps that they don't fit.

 

Are you sure there is no way what so ever?

 

Supposedly the Alpha parts won't fit with what is underneath them on the older trucks. More than just swapping out interior pieces has to be done. Alex is working on a conversion kit and hopes to have his done in about a month but has not reported what all he has had to modify to make it work( including the replacement trim pieces ) He says that he wants to bring the kit to market after he has figured it all out. Supposedly Predator is working on a kit also. With AM General likely introducing some level of kit H1 in the near future there may be something there that will help also.

 

What do you mean AMG is going to release an H1 kit in the future. Do you mean a complete kit to build a new H1... or a kit to upgrade the interior to the alpha?

Both. The kits, supposedly since AMG has not done a press release on this, will be able to be purchased for a complete vehicle, drive train only or interior only. The interior I have heard is the 04-06 interior. Since AMG has not officially released the information any or all of this could change. They are determining pricing now and supposedly will release information in the next two months on this program. Stay tuned.

Just wondering if there is any progress on this, of if you have encountered anyone who has completed an interior swap - specifically regarding dash and dog house mounting points. Now with the release of the C-Series humvee that dash is looking more attractive. Maybe when they go into production those parts will be available.

 

I don't think Alex has finished his kit and I haven't been on the Predator website in awhile. Latest word is that the AMG kits will be available this summer. You can check out the AMG website for the latest details.
