K&N Cold Air Intake for H3
I installed a cold air intake for my 2010 Hummer H3(# KN-77-3065KP) two months ago. Just this morning, the OBD II(On-Board Diagnostic-Second Generation) monitor lit up again. This is the 4th time that I experienced this code. What I did before to eliminate this Engine's Emission Error Code was just to reset the computer box by removing one of the battery's terminal cord.
Any suggestions on what would be the appropriate solution to fix this showing of OBD II code permanently. I am really worried that something might be damaged to my computer box in the future if this will not be properly addressed.
For the meantime, I am still going to unplug again my battery terminal to temporarily fix this problem.

In the cluster, I am seeing an ENGINE like icon. When I browse it in the manual, it says OBD II. As per Manual;
"Malfunction Indicator Lamp. A computer syste, called OBD II monitors operation of the fuel, ignition and emission control system. It ensures that emissions are at acceptable levels for the life of the vehicle, helping to produce a cleaner environment"

OK, so you didn't hook up an OBDII to your vehicle then. It is an electronic device that plugs into the OBD port under your steering wheel/knee bolster panel.
Best thing to do is to get to a local auto parts store ASAP and have them plug their code reader into your rig and find out what code it is throwing and lookit up. Could be a simple fix or something really bad.

Tnxs Tainter. Yah, I reinstalled the stock intake and everything is well since then. The update I mentioned above came directly from K&N. I was so desperate so I contacted the store at the same time K&N directly. They were saying that their CAI is designed for models up to 2009. It was just frustrating to note that when I bought the item, it was advertised by the store that it can fit to 2010 model. I was suppose to replace it with Volant, the reason why I also learned, theirs is not for 2010 either(good thing I asked the store to make sure with the manufacturer before we decided to replace it).
