Exclamation Hummer now owned by Chinese?!

Now that it is final and Hummer is owned by the Chinese what do you
guys think? I'm not completely educated on this topic but I have been following it loosely. I more or less posted this just to get more info from those of you out there that may have an opinion and may know more about it. I do know that if in the future I invest in another Hummer it will be Pre 2010.

I have one thought - How are we going to sell our military vehicle maker to the very economy that is trying to overtake US. Now I'm not that naive to think that the chinese are going to make our Humvees but as far as H2s and H3s they will be. They say they will keep the Shreveport plant open and the 3000 employees it houses but for how long? It's like we(U.S.) don't care about our dignity any longer, as long as the price is right. I think its rediculous.

im not big on the chinese but i am educated on sichuan tengzhong they build heavy trucks... i.e. dump trucks recovery trucks fire trucks and things of the such. and they are a world leader in that area and from what i know they are rugged dependable and long lasting and even though chinese its the kind of company i would want hummer to go to. and i will definitely be buying the recovery truck branded hummer when im ready to buy one.

It's better than Hummer going the way of Saturn, Pontiac and Buell. As long as they are American made I would still buy one. Who knows maybe someday GM will buy it back from them.

Just drove thru the local Hummer dealership...that had a TON of H3s only three weeks ago...now? Not one single Hummer. Zero. And this is the MAIN Hummer dealership in SE Michigan. Not a good sign.

Salesman said they are ordering many H3s and H2s "soon" and they should be up and running as far as sales goes by mid-Dec...

Will any GM dealership service a Hummer under GM warranty if the local Hummer dealership goes the way of the dodo bird?
