Question Hummer Club Events - anyone been?

The Hummer Club Inc recently posted their schedule of 2025 events. I've never been, but two of them (Colorado Mountains and Durango) are within a day's drive for me, so ...

Has anyone participated in any of these events, and how was the experience?

I joined the Hummer Club and have been following them since i got my H1 a couple years ago but have never been able to attend any events. They are primarily an East Coast managed group so it seems that a lot of their members are on the East Coast. I'm in Los Angeles, and the Colorado events are the closest that I've ever seen them come my way. I had deep thoughts and desires regarding attending one of those but it just didn't work out. I've watched all the videos that they've posted on their trips and would definitely go with them if I could make it work. But ... I've never personally run with them.

I have been on several THCI events on the east side of the country lately (2023-2024).
The eastern wheeling trips are pretty well organized (different person organizes each event). Depending on the # of vehicles THCI event organizer will split the vehicles into groups (novice, moderate experience, experienced, etc.) depending on their vehicle modifications and offroad experience.
Since most of the people I wheel with have very modified vehicles and plenty of experience we usually split off into our own group and verify anyone who wishes to tg along with us.
They usually have a round up dinner after the last day of wheeling and some THCI event organizers give out awards (most stuck, winch king, most improved wheeler, etc.).
THCI organizers will get a group rate on the local hotel/motel so the wheelers can meet each other/vehicles prior to the actual wheeling the next day.

Feel free to ask any specific questions you may have.

PS: in order to attend MOST of the events you have to be a member of THCI (annual membership dues).

I do have to say in the past 2006-2020 there was a "stigma" of the H1 and even some H2 owners thinking they where hot sheet and would not even communicate much (nose up attitude) with what they thought was a "lowly" H3 owner. I attended one event back then and had a more capable vehicle (H3 Alpha OffRoad nicely modified) and never went back due to this. That attitude has changed drastically in the past 5 years.

I have been to a couple of THCI events. One back in Cali a long time ago. Living in Texas they don't have any close events down here. I quit being a THCI member about 10 years ago. The East coast trips look fun.

Thanks guys! I may give the Colorado rides a try this summer and see what they are like. I'm running a mostly stock 09 Championship Edition and have no problem keeping up with the local Jeep gang here in NM, but I'd love a chance to join a Hummer group on the trails. Hopefully there isn't any anti-H3 snobbery to deal with. I'll have to see if I can find some YouTube videos from the Colorado trips - the event flyer is only showing H1's for those two events.

I think the H1 snobbery has gone away for the most part. H3 and H2 models produced outnumber the H1s by 20-1. On my first THCI trip I owned an H1 but took my 2003 H2. There was some snobbery at that event. There were 2 H2s and one brand new H3 at the event along with about 15 H1s. At the time AM General had reps that went to most of the events and he made sure the non H1s had a good time. He sat with us at dinner and the H1 guys all sat together.

We have one in Texas and hang out by the Gulf of America every year.
I think one is coming up and we have one in the fall.
Going to print shirts and hats for it with
MLH on it, “Major League Hummer”
