rust prevention and salt neutralizers ??
Anybody try "Salt Away" for the winter months, if the area you live in uses nasty road salt ? In b.c. canada it is not as bad as other provinces or states in the U.S. but we do get a few months of occasional road salting. Fortunatly it rains so much here in 'raincouver' the roads get washed well by the Lord, not too long afterwards. Anyone use this or any other type of product for slowing down or preventing the rust factor!
Tried this salt away stuff yesterday and a bit today after reading rave reviews from (non biased users,ie. owners web site) found some boaters forums and other car forums that had posted great experience from the product. "It does really work great" and is safe on chrome, plastic, paint ect. it washes all the road salt away leaves a thin film of product that is supposed to protect. Used it on the undercarriage also cleaned all the nasty road salt away. Happy to find a product that does what it says it will. Anything to slow down or stop the innevitable rust factor, for me and the area I live short of moving or parking the truck all winter, which would be a waste of a perfectly good hummer!!! well worth the $20
