Faded bumpers and plastic

im not sure which is the best product to use or to prevent this but i have heard that Aerospace 303 protectant is the best stuff on the market. i am going to order the product soon and keep everyone posted.....

Have you seen any fading on your truck? I saw a lot on H2s, but nothing much on the 3s...

fortunately i havent had any fading yet but want to be proactive by preventing so. i usually keep the truck in the garage or in shade of some sort but on some of the older model H3's, i have seen fading on the plastic hood vent/grill as well as on the pillar trim next to the windshield and rear window. im hoping that in a year or two's time, the plastic will still look good as new. the faded plastic just looks like a cheap design flaw.....

Age old trick that sounds stupid but take regular old jiffy peanut butter and use a rag to rub it into the faded black plastic pieces. World of difference when your done.

The peanut butter trick worked on my wifes Avalanche cladding. It was easy as pie to put on and take off..wondering how long it will last till another apply?

My scooter buddy introduced me to this product that revitalizes plastics and rubber without the oily residue. Its actually pretty darn good in my opinion. We use it to dress up the tires on our scooters and motorcycles at car shows without making the contact areas slippery. Its called Renew, just Google it.:D I was planning on using it on the trim pieces and bumpers when I pick up my first H3 in 2 weeks.

Here's the link:

Mothers has a product called, back to black. It's wonderful. I use it on my trailblazer, Cherokee, and Rx8.

I use that stuff on my pilars and other trim. My dad uses it on the plastic on his avalanche. It works the best IMO
