question on speaker upgrade, non monsoon H3

if you look REAL close you will see a capacitor mounted on the twt itself.
they call that a crossover and it is on the monsoon even though the monsoon has separate wires for the tweets! the base tweet is the same , I think.

It's designed to eliminate vibrations and direct the sound right into the door grille. For the tweeters i prefered to drill a hole into the pillars to install the speakers but it's just a matter of look,i think that you can glue them on the back of the pillar post.I had installed a Kenwood head unit in the gloves compartment because i needed an input for my mp3 and i wanted to keep the gps unit so i don't know if it will sound better whit the stock head unit.I also have two amps in the trunk to drive two infinity 10'' woofers and two 6x9 mounted in the tail gate.

if you dont have the monsoon ditch it all and get a new headunit, mount an amp back into the area where the monsoon stuff would be, get a couple 12s in a box you can take out if you need space and your dine. i have the monsoon with a pioneer avic d3 and it sounds twice as good as one with the stock headunit on the monsoon. also had 4 12s in it till my amp had an issue and a bunch of liquid came oozing out of it......amp mounted in the passenger side cargo hatch.
