I used the K&N filter and silicone tubing. I can tell the difference. I have a tuned PCM and Billy Boat exhaust.

I think I know where Cracker Jack is comin from, even though he is a rice head , and remember he don't got no Hummer , you are giving up some potential air flow by keeping the two accordian stock rubber connecters (tubing). That's my best translation from ricer to Hummer.

I agree Doc. My tube is smooth inside with the exception where I made a small bend.

i understand all that completely, but until you put one on,you just dont know,it makes a huge improvement.and it is inexpensive and simple, that was the only reason i made it.

Sorry to stir up a storm! I'm not doubting, just curious as to the whole physics of it and what exactly is going on! What is the tube that comes out the side?

Hilljob: I'm not saying it is not a good thing, but it could even be better? IDK the actual flow figures, but it is an observation that makes some sense. Might actually mean nothin? Can't argue with the pricing of tube(s) to replace the resonator box! Kudos on the SS pipe! No doubt you have increased flow over the stock box set up. Ghostrider: the tube that comes out the side Connects the at other end to the ½’’ nipple on the factory valve cover breather port. PVC stuff.

Must be nice to have access to an all wheel drive dyno.......Even nicer to see what the real world figures are for that mod.
