the resonator is a big opening which basically restricts power, this is a direct line, just like a k&n system or and other cai would do,when it all comes down to it,this is really all you need in my mind, other then maybe just a better air filter

With that restrictive air box still on there and stock rigidty piping, I bet you didnt gain a single horsepower.  You gain power with flow.  Its a bottle kneck to begin with & and you cant magically flow more air with that stock air box...

its making more power from what is there, instead of losing the power from the resonator,it flows the air stright to the throttle body,,sure you can take off the box,and gain even more, but it made it alot better then just that stock resonator,i guess i didnt feel it in the seat when i stepped on it.whatever.....everybodies a critic

CrackerJack,

Probubly not a very good post for you 3rd post on the forum.  Not going to make any friends this way.
However what you are saying does make total sense.

Hilljob,

Good for you man,  Looks like you got yourself a good little business all of the sudden.

Yea, I guess that's why GM makes the same exact thing (- the fancy chrome cover) for $460. I personally would rather save hundreds of dollars.
