After having trouble with my front end I was wondering if there is any beefier front Half Shafts in the after market?  And I would say untill you have a problem with this it is the last thing on your mind. I have broke two the Driver side and pass. side. It may be just the Independent Suspension? or a bad batch?

How'd they break? Driving down the freeway or jumping hills and berms?

Are you running stock tires/rims? Torsion bars tweaked or rekeyed? Lift kit?

t-bar lift or lift kit wouldn't have an effect on the half shafts breaking....could cause wear in the cv-joint, but breaking a half shaft would take a lot more stress than a simple t-bar lift. I have never heard of a haf shaft breaking on the h3...hell hall racing used stock half shafts in their baja h3 and never broke one.....this is kinda strange.

Could it be  from spinning the tires while wheeling?

More info is a good thing.  I copied a SEMO H3 post from a prior thread   Warranty Question!!  into this thread to better understand the problem being addressed here:

"Talked to the dealership today and they said it was a Driver Side Half Shaft and they will cover it.  They did question me on what I was doing at the time I noticed it and I told him That I was doing a little off roading.  I asked the service man if the H3 has a bad problem with this and he told me this is the worst case he has seen. 6 Month's ago Pass. Side Half Shaft came out and stripped the gears in my Front Diff. and Sunday Driver side Half Shaft came out and he believes no damage to Front Diff. The Funny thing is the H3 is Done and he told me I can pick it up Wed. I asked why and he said that they are changing my Radio Knobs since the black paint is peeling off so I got some Knobs changed also."

Interesting issue SEMO H3.

I was Doing a lot of spinning on the trail. but no more than i normaly do. I thought that it might of grabed traction and broke but they should be stronger than that. Again mybe I got a bad seed, it happens. All is fixed and I will have it on the trail soon.

If it does keep happening and you want to go aftermarket, I'm sure you can find some chrome-moly half shafts.

Indeed..... if you CAN find some CHOMOL shafts I seriously doubt you'd ever have to replace them again, that's what F1 driver cages are made of.
