Do you have a link to that "how to" thread? I just picked up my black H3 Tactical yesterday, have had sirius for years and need to switch asap.

This is the first time I've actually used XM and I can say without a doubt - I don't care for it at all. I would be estastic with Sirius. Good for you for making the move. pgaduane

I've had XM for years.... I love it.... I am now down to 2 subs... Aftermarket XM in the 2... and XM/Traffic/Weather in my van through my Garmin Streetpilot 7500.

I love my XM I have had it since the day it came on the air in LA. Plus they have XM traffic on Pioneer Nav systems. XM and sirius are merging so I guess it's 1 big happy family anyway.

I have had Sirius for about 3 years now. I guess its what I am used to. I have a home unit set up for Sirius as well so for billing purposes it's a little easier. Sirius also gives me Howard Stern, Blue Collar Comedy and Playboy Radio. Just my preference.

ORIGINAL: importkiller playboy radio? Remind me to wear gloves if I ever drive your truck Here is the link to the "HOW TO" http://www.hummerforums.com/m_69805/tm.htm The only thing I did different than what's in this link, is that I mounted my tuner on the floor just forward of the shift quadrant. When you pull the radio surround panel off and unplug all the connectors look down. There is a hole that goes back toward the shifter. Thats where I put the Sirius tuner. I installed it there with Supper Velcro, and foam padding.....It's not going anywhere. You know, everyone has their idea of what sounds good to them. I must say that with XM there are very few dead zones, and when you change channels it changes and plays right then and there. Sirius is a little slower to tune and drops out under overpasses, however when it does play I think it sounds a lot better. I really like the Sirius programing better like 1st wave 22 with Richard Blade...It's all the '80's stuff I use to listen to back then when I was in college and I lived in L.A. and listened to KROQ....I know...I'm an old bastard......LOL XM's "FRED" just didn't do it for me.... Sirius has a great classic station, and the comedy stuff is awesome.... I've had both XM & Sirius now, and I can say for me, I like Sirius better.....XM is ok.....It's just not what I'm looking for in SAT radio... I think the merger will be good except according to the merger site to get A la cart music you will need a new tuner that's not on the market yet....Great! Also according to some of the stuff I've read elsewhere, it seams that it might not be possible to do the "Sirius Connect" system on a late 2007 and up H3's yet. If you have a LAN factory system, it says on the box that "Connect" is not compatable...? However, I think some guys on this forum that have tried it and it worked....Right? OK...This is getting long, and I just got home from watching the Blue Angles fly out here in Texas at an air show .. ..(ALWAYS AWESOME STUFF) So I'm going to go make a Vodka / Tonic and sit out by the pool for awhile. Y'all have a good night.... Later

Actually, it's all done. I picked it up from my favorite audio shop a couple of hours ago. Windows tinted, Sirius activated and OnStar activate.
