Wohoo we just got our new HUMMER H2 Model 2008 and I'm impressed, I really love the new interior and the engine -  OH SH**.

One of the few in Europe. My boss is not that impressed however. He said he'll keep getting 2007 models. That'll be the only 2008 he got.

What do you think of it? Any of you already got one?

Hey Tino,

You're fortunate to have a Hummer H2 in Europe. Us Hummer owners in the US where big is better sometimes get grief over driving these big rides.

I figure in Europe it's even worse, do you guys get much flack over driving a big American Hummer? I bet like here most are envious of the vehicle but they may "claim" that they think it's stupid to have a vehicle that large.

I have an H3 and I love mine. I think when I bought my 2007 H3 was the happiest purchase I've ever made vehicle wise. I can imagine you feel the same way buying the new 2008 H2. I love what they've done with the new interior, much better than earlier versions.

So tell us, how much does fuel cost where you live? I know that petrol tends to be much more expensive in the UK and Europe and with oil almost $90 a barrel I have to wonder how much it's costing you guys across the Atlantic to fill up the Hummer.

Congrats on the new ride, I know you're very proud and you really should post a pic or two to make us all share your joy!

Thanks for the congrats. Well it's actaully not my own H2 but belongs to the company I work for. We offer HUMMERs here in Europe to rent and with advertisement on them etc.. But  we were fortunate enough to already get a new HUMMER H2 Model 2008.

Yes HUMMERs are very rare here in europe and people here are most likely even more against those cars then in the US. The main problem is that now with all the climate changing in the news all the time and so on people start to really have a problem with the cars. Europeans never really had the big cars like the US but they at least were accepted. Now people seem to find more and more reasons to attack you and your car. I know of two ore three problems myself where people got attacked by 'activists' because their car is a hummer. One of I know personally  and he was sent to the hospital after the attack for 1-2 weeks. I think he broke his arm or leg or something. Just a few weeks ago a hummer was burnt down in the open streets in Berlin. So yes people have very controversial views on hummers here. They either love them or hate them.

regarding Gas prices here in Germany a litre regular gas is about € 1,40 right now. That are about US $2 for  a litre . I'm not sure how that is per gallon but I think a gallon has 3 or 4 litres so it's about 3 or 4 times $2. Somewhere between $6-$8 per gallon I guess.

I have a view pictures attached.
