Just got my Rancho lift kit in today and was planning on starting the install when I get out of class tomorrow. The leaf springs had two different part numbers 44058D and 44058E, they also had different sized shims on them. One was a decent amount thicker than the other. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which side which goes on? Thanks!

i would think the thicker one goes on the drivers side due to always having weight from the driver, but thats just my guess

I think they sent me one of the wrong ones :( I emailed "waynesoffroad" from this board and he said that both his springs were "E's" :(

The lift kit should come with instructions.

It does, and all it says is that the thicker side of the shim faces the front. It does not state which side would need a thicker shim, if they are even supposed to be different.

Rancho did update the springs a couple times. So make sure you get the latest ones.

That is exactly what happened Wayne. They sent me one revised spring and one of the old version. They are shipping another but its supposed to be coming from California to Mississippi and they said they could not expedite shipping b/c of the weight. I hope it gets here by Friday!  Thanks again for your help Wayne!

Cool, Feel free to email me if you need any help. Also be real careful with the front drive shaft. The C.V. boot on the transfer case side is easy to damage and can't be repalced. You have to buy a whole new drive shaft and it's $300 from the dealer. I found out a week after I installed the lift that it tore . But I found one at a wreaking yard for $100.00.
