Hummer Happenings Notifications

Trayderjoe -> Hummer Happenings Notifications (10/7/2007 5:28:34 AM)

I was curious as to how people find out about the Hummer Happening Events.  Do you get notification from your dealers about the events (calls, email, etc.), or do you check out their web site looking for the events?  I picked up my Hummer from Al Serra in Grand Blanc Michigan back in June, and haven't heard of any events.  Of course, their events may be over for the year and I just missed my opportunity, but moving forward, I would certainly like to join in the fun.  Thanks in advance for your input!

Get in touch with the marketing people at your local dealerships. Ask to be put on
thier notification list. Be prepared to RSVP quickly.....I know the one's down here
have waiting lists because they fill up so fast.

You also might try looking into any Hummer clubs in the area.

Here in Dallas, not only do we have several dealerships that put on events, there is also a DFW Hummer Club as well.

So........ we may be  a little more fortunate than folks elsewhere.

Good luck.

TJoe, I think the Hummer dealers in MI are a little lame on the Happenings IMO.  Friendly did a blood drive for one????  Good cause, don't get me wrong, but ah, uhm............c'mon, a blood drive.    How about off roading until ya bleed?[:D]  The is a hummer happening at Silver Lake, MI 10/13.  Check the meets/events section.  [;)]

I heard Hummer of KC was having a Hummer Happening on October 27th at KS Rocks Recreation Park. I haven't received anything in the mail yet. I'll check it out Monday and let you know what I find out. I'm also thinking about going to Tuttle Creek on the 28th if anyone in the area is interested.

Does anyone know if Hummer of Cincinnati puts on any events?

Trayderjoe -> RE: Hummer Happenings Notifications (10/8/2007 3:25:22 PM)

Thanks everyone for your responses.

Doc:  I did see the event at Silver Lake, unfortunately I can't make it [:(]   I will, of course, keep watching here for the meets and will follow-up with the dealership as suggested.  Sounds like Sewell in Texas does a much better job with the Hummer Happenings.

I get things in the mail.

The last two were tailgating at a horserace and an event at Paragon I prior to it's closing.

As per Hummer each and every dealer is suppose to have 4 yes 4 Hummer Happenings each year.  My dealer sends out invites but I'm lucky if they have 1 per year.  The last one was for Paragon but then Paragon closed so they haven't had a Happening for over a year and a half now.  Your best bet is to call your dealer and ask them if they hold these events and ask them to put you on their mailing list.

3hummers -> RE: Hummer Happenings Notifications (10/9/2007 11:04:56 PM)

The dealers do the invites. I have three Hummers and I found that by spreading the service and repair work between several dealers I get invites to their different events. You might try taking your Hummer to a different dealer for service than you bought from and chat up the service guy. You generally do have to reserve your spot pretty quickly. I am in SoCal and the events to Hungry Valley, Lake Arrowhead and Vegas seem to fill up quick. Some of the non-driving events seem to stay open longer. ( no wonder )

OK NOW IM PISSED[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

Just called Hummer of Cincinati.  They told me that I was not welcome to attend their Hummer events if I did not purchase my Hummer there.  However I asked them if I serviced my Hummer there would I qualify and again they told me no.  I cannot believe this.  Do the Hummer dealers actually pay for the event??????   Or do you pay and they just coordinate them????  Should I file a complaint to Hummer?
