Hello everyone,

Well after months of reviewing, reading everyones opinions and what they have done with their hummers, I got one of my own.  Picked up a new '07 H3 base last weekend .    I added the sunroof, towing package and... thats about it.  I looked at all the other options and the base was all I needed.  Already had a RTFM moment when I needed to figure out why the cabin lights did not come on when we exit (there is a button that turns this on/off).  Thinking the stereo definitely needs to be upgraded and possibly going to add some basic exterior items though I love the looks as is so no rush.  Stereo I am sure I will be shooting some questions to Importkiller and some of the other radio guys once i finish abusing the search button.

Thats about it.  Now that I have a H3, I am sure i will praticipate more.  Till then,  here are a couple of pic of my H3.

Enjoy and thanks!!

When I get out of a vehicle at night, I like the interior lights to stay off. The sudden light dulls my night vision.

I had to pull the interior light bulb out of my Sable because it didn't have an off switch for the interior light. I also like the fact that you can turn off the Headlights on the H3, on my Sable you can't turn off the headlights. (as far as I know)

Now that I know that the H3 has that option to disable the interior lights, would you clue me in ?

Thanks,
Nova...

Note: My manual is packed up so don't RTFM me!!!

I think you should have a little round button over there that you press in....

or at least most Chevy's and my H2 does....

Welcome.  Yes it appears to be the correct color!

Novasaigo, RTFOM.  That is the Online manual.  http://www.hummeranswers.com/files/hum_h3_2006_man.pdf    Favorites anyone??  No excuses now.
Dome Lamp Override
(Dome Lamp Override): You can use the dome
override button, located below the exterior lamps control,
to set the dome and footwell lamps to come on
automatically when a door is opened, or to remain off.
To turn the lamps off, press the button into the in
position. With the button in this position, the dome lamps
will remain off when the doors are open. To return the
lamps to automatic operation, press the button again
and return it to the out position. With the button in this
position, the dome lamps will come on when you
open a door.
Exit Lighting
With exit lighting, the interior lamps will come on when
you remove the key from the ignition. The lamps will not
come on if the dome override button is pressed in.
