You mean what would the dealership charge to fix it or what its gonna cost me to fix it? It will cost me about 25 cents to fix it as long as I can get the old bolt out and just put a new one in. I would have no clue what the dealership would charge, they would probably try to tell you that you need to replace something that has nothing to do with it. Hopefully my buddy will actually call me back today so I can go over there and fix it. We are calling for more snow starting today and I'd like to drive the hummer in this weather because with that traction control crap on the mercedes i cant get outta the driveway.

Hey everyone, sorry I havent been on here in a while. Heres the update. Replaced the axle with a brand new one and added a set of 20inch wheels with 38inch Toyo tires. Everything else is the same and mileage is 76k. I still have the factory wheels with a set of 37inch Iroks and an extra set of 38inch Swamper TSL tires with little tread but good spares. Comes with all sets of wheels and tires and a brand new high lift jack with mount still in package. Getting ready to advertise locally for $30k but bottom dollar is $28k firm. Anyone interested feel free to call me at any hour. Im about always up. I really need to sell this thing asap because I am off work hurt and Workers Comp is fighting my pay so I havent had a paycheck in over 2 months. Must sell for $28k to pay off bills. Thanks and God Bless,
Matt 618-889-9524

Thanks, im definately gonna miss it alot and buy another one at a later date but I just cant afford it right now and need to get out from under this payment asap. I could have sold it a long time ago but it seems like there were soo many little things i needed to do to it that Chris never told me about. He never even had the heat working. I got it all fixed but it still doesnt seem like it works worth a crap. Does anyone know how pricey it is to upgrade it? I know I get plenty of heat that comes out of the gear shifter hole, i think it works better than the heater..lol

They added a baffle at the shifter in later years to keep the heat out. People quote the upgrade to the 97.5 HVAC system at about $4000.00. In looking around on Ebay and even buying the parts from Kascar it seems you can buy all of the parts for around $1500.00-$1800.00. Add on the labor and it seems like you should be able to get it done for $2200-2500.00. Not sure it is worth it. I have a 97 and while the heat/A/C doesn't work great I have spent time in the mountains in the cold and the desert in the heat and it has been ok. Problem is you keep fixing stuff and I am afraid you won't get as much out of the truck as you have put into it. Chris selling it as it was probably maximized his return on the vehicle. Hope it works out for you.

Yeah I dont think it is worth wasting the money to upgrade the heat either. Chris selling it as he did may have maximized his return but I dont wanna deceive someone like I was. He waited till I was boarding the plane to tell me that the heat didnt work and some other issues that it wouldnt shift out of 2nd gear. I dont want someone to feel like I did once i got home and started finding all the things wrong with it. Id rather lose some money on it and feel good about selling it than to pull something over on someone. I dont plan to do much more to it. Although if someone buys it soon Ill throw in a Sony 7 inch in dash flip out monitor that I have just sitting here. If not im thinking about putting it in the Mercedes.

I'm not saying don't disclose what is wrong but on many things you don't get what you put in it to do the repair. I would just tell them the heat/AC doesn't work or work well and that the truck is priced accordingly. Let them decide what it might cost to fix it. Besides some people might not even care if it works much if it is an off road or hunting toy.

I know what you mean 3hummers. Yes I have been driving it 75 miles round trip to work Muddy. There is nothing wrong with the shifting. When i got it from Chris he didnt tell me until I was on my way out there that sometimes it will throw a code and that puts it in safe mode which means it will not shift out of 2nd gear until you turn it off and turn it back on. this resets the computer and then it is fine. It only happens to me about once a month. Its a sensor..they said it was just the VSS reading off cuz sometimes itll read slightly faster than you are going. I havent tried changing the sensor yet. its just throwing the computer off when it reads wrong so it doesnt shift but turnin it off clears it if it happens. I just havent messed with lookin into it cuz it doesnt even happen to me anymore.

OH... I gotcha....  not challenging your story... I just thought that was something else you had to fix before you could drive it daily...
