Hi Guys,

Just found this forum during my research into the Hummer H3. The H3 is about to be released in Australia once they get ADR compliance and I'm very keen to get my hands on one.

I currently have 2 4wd's.

2007 Nissan Pathfinder 2.5TD Auto which will make way for the H3 hopefully.

And a 2005 Nissan Patrol 4.2TD, 2 inch lift, 35 inch Cooper STT, Double ARB Air lockers.

Also I tow a camper trailer which weighs about 1.5ton

As we are only getting the H3 3.7 I5 in Aus, I would like to get any feedback from owners who use there to tow and the H3's offroad ability.

I'm leaning towards the H3 Adventure mainly because of the better Lo range and rear diff lock.

Look forward to chat with you guys.

That looks like some fun wheeling country..... you will not be sorry that you have the H3... I've seen them in action and they are little badasses....

Thanks for the welcome guys.

One thing I have noticed already is the Aus H3 Adventure will only have 32" tyres not like the 33" on the US H3 Adventure. And you guys get a whole lot more Dealer fit accessories on offer than what Holden/GM are offering so far.

When you get it post some pics and let us know how you like it.  I think you'll be impressed by what it can do, alot of power in a small package.

Well finally my local Hummer dealer got there first H3 demo!

I was the second customer to drive it. H3 Lux Auto 3.7 in Black. It looks awesome. Not as big as I was expecting which is a good thing. We took it for a decent drive (no offroading) and I'm happy with the performance from the 3.7, it not rocket ship but it will be good enough.

As for ride quality I found it too soft in the front and rear is a bit harsh but I have been spoil with coil springs all round. Nothing that a decent set of shocks in the front wont fix.

Now it is up to the lease company to get the $$$ figures right then we can place our order, but delivery wont be until December / January at this stage.

Another Aussie here saying Hi

I'm going to get one in the middle of the new year (I believe the first lot are due for delivery in the 1st quarter of 08?) .. I'll be going with the Basic H3 as I do want to use it off road.... The H3 will be another nice piece of Americana next to my 1969 Chev Camaro..... I wonder how many show ponies will buy them in this country? I'd say 90% of buyers wont use em how they should be used.... which leads me to my next question what lift kits are recomended?? No big chrome wheels for me....
