Same problem. Dead one morning on a year old battery. Charged battery. Took it in to GM. Battery tested OK. Has not done it since. No explanation.

The H2 has a battery drawdown protection, so none of the above suggestions would matter anyway. The battery disconnects passive draws at 11V, so that you can still start the vehicle, as far as I know.

I wish some GM techs would cruise this site and confirm this kind of technical stuff, to tell us if what we are being told is true. And tell us that you are a GM tech, so we know the answer is not just a guess...

Hello Friends, I've experienced the same problem but the truck sat without use for about 2 weeks. So I guess the battery just trickle drained from the computer.
I purchased from Ebay and installed a DELTRAN 12 VOLT BATTERY TENDER PLUS and a SIDE POST BATTERY DISCONNECT SWITCH for when my vehicle is not in use for long periods.

I fought the same problem on my truck after I bought it. I went through a few batteries and had the dealer check it and they couldn't find anything wrong. I finally realized it was the ignition switch. Sometimes it would not shut off all the way and the little red battery light would be on.

Sounds like he has a definite draw problem, not just a dead battery. Let us know the outcome.
