Hello,

I picked up a Tactical H3 yesterday, black on black, and I wanted to see how the emblems are held on. I want to remove all of the emblems as this would give my H3 a cleaner look. The "H3" on the doors and back. Also the "GM" on the fenders.  It looks like adhesive only but I wanted to make sure before I am left with mounting holes once I have removed them. Anyone done this yet? I search but no luck.

Thanks!

Mike

Why on earth would you remove the tactical badges?  Why didn't you just get then the cheaper base model with the side steps and front bar?

Yes they are glued on, but this to me is like taking Bull off the Lamborghini logo

They are definitely glued on. I didn't like the look of the GM emblems on my H3, so I removed them. Made it look generic.

I did not know that the Tactical had special badges. My H3 is all black and the chrome badges just take away from the look of the car. It looks like I may have found a buyer. Paypal me $50.00 and they are yours...lol.

Mine will be removed from the front doors, when I get around to it.  The factory rats couldn't put the damn things on straight anyway.

I have a Tactical Edition.  Yes, they come with unique and special badges, what else would you pay the marked up price for?

Removing the badges is rather easy.  Heat them up with the wife's hair dryer.  Take a piece of fishing line and pull it behind the emblem to release it.  Some adhesive will remain.  Use Goo Gone to remove the residual adhesive. Good luck.

I'll never put those stinkin' badges back on again.  How many do you really need.  Now, if you have the Alpha or the Tactical Edition, I would call you mad for doing so, but understand why.   You don't need Hummer, H3 and GM logos on every side of the truck to know it's a Hummer.  I think by now people know
