I had issues in the sand dunes out at Armagosa Death Valley, NV, But not out at the other dunes around here in Vegas..........so depends on the SAND.....!
The pic of me jumping my H3 was at the Dunes in my profile.....I read a post on here that said if the traction light "failed" light came on it could be the transmission....I also get that light in 4 low...(not stablizer off light)..I am waiting for my tranny and head to blow....while under warranty....HOPEFULLY !

IMO this would make the most sense... as his wife drove the truck.  I wouldn't be surprised if the tranny has issues

Carlos:  I would go a little lower with the tire PSI, and the elevation.    You already know that HP starts to drop after 1000 ft.  Go 12-16psi with the tires, or dive the pick up in the sand.

Carlos;
Don't mean no disrespect but I can't stand those novice people out there bashing this truck.

Shortbus, you're one sick puppy... your new avatar is too frikkin funny.

OJ is funny?? You'd have to be warped to have that MF as an avatar.

The guy had a problem and asked for help, not critcism or sarcasm.

Getting computr glitches like this is some what common.  Rebooting or removing error codes with a Tech II tool often solve the problems.

Try the Dunes again and see if it re-occurs.  Good luck.

I don't see any humor there.  Why not a  swastika or pic of Hitler?  It's not being thin skinned but having a sense of civil and proper taste.  Know what I mean?  Probably not.
