Looks great! Do you loose anything from your departure angle?

I think that is going to reduce your departure angle. It looks cool though!

Plug in a big trailer hitch and anyone that runs into will really mess up their ride, plus it mounts sturdy to the fram - unlike that cheap crap in the pics

to me those bumper guards just dont look to be bulky enough to do much, but ya never know, the littlest thing can take alot of momemtum from running into the rest of the truck

ORIGINAL: tomp Plug in a big trailer hitch and anyone that runs into will really mess up their ride, plus it mounts sturdy to the fram - unlike that cheap crap in the pics Well, I couldn't give a crap about someone else messing up their ride and a big trailer hitch wouldn't do much to protect my back-up camera in the land of bump-stop parking that I now live whereas this thing will - a little. Anyone hitting me hard enough will drive the ball/receiver right through their grill and the rest of the front end will continue on to do a good amount of damage. This thing will more than likely bend and allow just as much damage from that kind of a hit. Again for me, this would be so the crap I am throwing into the back and the SFB NJ drivers bumping the rear not knocking my camera off. HumV, thanks for the pics, but even when I try to lighten them up, I really can't make out how it mounts. If you have a chance, can you take and post a few more with a little more light on the mounting points? Thanks

When I bought my H3 in Aug. 05 I was into aftermarket stuff big time. I ordered the same rear bumper guard. Well when I got it I was thinking this bad boy might make a great boat anchor. I installed it anyways. Now 2 years later, its of of the most useful additions on my H3. Its great for stepping on when I load my top rack and has saved a few dings at work by sleepy peeps in the morning. Its very sturdy and well made. Agreed, it looks kinda funny on there but its usefulness has more than paid for it. Just my 2cents for another Steelcraft rear bumper guard owner.. Thumbnail Image
