Mine averages 20Mpgs.............................................when on a diesel flatbed going with the wind down hill!   On a trip in August(220 miles, 20 of it was city type driving), loaded down w/ the family and a weeks worth of luggage/stuff, I got 16.5 driving no faster than 75 and accelerating very conservatively in traffic.  I never checked other than that???

I can get 20-22 if I drive like a normal person (55-65 MPH). I have the 3.5L I5, 5-speed manual and Gibson cat-back exhaust.

I normally sit 15-18 MPG in the city, driving it aggressively.

I get near the rated MPG, but I noticed that if you are a little heavier on the foot, it sucks gas like no other :D

I've got the 07 3.7L and before i added K&N, PCM and Magnaflow I was able to get 361 miles on 18 gallons, 70mph interstate light load, 3,500miles on odometer.

Checked it recently and still getting around 19-20mpg IF I keep it under 70 and don't go up to many hills. Seems like when the engine revs over 2500 RPM while cruising sustained MPG drops quickly. I run regular 87 octane and have the 32" Non_adv. wheels.

I'm tickled with my mpg, crap it's better than my 03 Tacoma V6 2WD. Best I EVER got on it was 17 on the freeway.

Hey Tinked, I'm surprised you got 20MPG with 33" Adventure tires. That normally shave a few mpg off from the stock 32s.

Judging from your action pics, I may be able to deduce why your mileage isn't what is should be.

I'd be very worried about it if I got 9mpg in an H3, thats less than half of the rated MPG.

Whats to worry about...it breaks they fix it. I drive it hard, thats the main reason for the mileage. Plus the first 500 miles are the most important for pcm learning, that's why your told not to redline the tach, drive at high speed for a prolonged period of time, take off hard from the line or tow. I wanted my pcm to learn the way I really drive so I was hard on it from day one. My gas mileage blows but I also have more balls than any other I5 h3 on the road. I have proven this against my two friends h3's..in a 1/4 mile stretch of rt. 1 I beat them both by 2-3 car lengths. I'll trade fuel mileage for power any day.
