I'm wiring a Sirius radio in my 2006 H3.

I know that the Orange on the back of the factory radio harness is battery (always on I believe) and the black/white is ground ...

Which wire is it that stays "hot" when you turn the key off, and then turns itself off when you open the door ? (Thats the obvious one to hook the sat. radio up to)

Thanks in advance.

David

I dont mind moving (5 times now in 5 years) ... What I really miss this time is no garage while in between houses and my tools (ALL 3 chests of them) are all stored.

I've got a multi-screwdriver and a 5.99 socket set to deal with :(

I wish I could type faster, I figured Importkiller was gonna beat me to that one.  If you have questions, he's Da Man in this department, not me!!!!!

Nope ... I knew that much :) (I found that info posted somewhere earlier) But thanks for sure !

I'd like to know which power wire in the harness stays powered up when the key is turned off and taken out, but turns off when the door is opened.

Just need to figure out that one wire :)

Would a door wiring diagram work???  The windows still work after the key is off til the door is opened?  If you have MS word, I can point you to that.

So you need the wire that gets power along with all the cars other acc. when the car is shut down...until the door is opened. Thats the oh chit I forgot to put the window up wire Let me check my instal books and I'll get back to you.....BTW using a pac audio adapter would eliminate this whole problem...lol.

unless I'm losing my mind (which is highly possible), I tried every wire on the radio harness, and none work as I thought.

There is not even an "ignition" wire for goodness sake, only the batter lead (orange)
