New to the forum and wanted to let everyone know how much I love the H1.  Over the years, I have had a multitude of vehicles spanning from BMW's, Mercedes, Porsches, Land Rovers (Defender), and Ferrari's but something was missing and I finally realized what it was.  Having spent 13 years in the military, I had a great admiration and affinity for the HUMVEE.  After leaving the military, I tried several time to replace that same type of feeling I had when driving around in the Hummer but could not find it.  I even went as far as buying a D90 but still, not the same.  So finally, I pulled the trigger.  The dealership I have been working with picked up my 355 yesterday and I will be receiving my H1 on Wednesday.  Glad to join you guys and hope to be wheeling with you soon!  BTW, I am in Northern IL so if anyone knows of a good place to "break her in" feel free to leave a comment.

Nice to have ya here!

Tip- Hummers are GREAT rigs, but compared to a Ferrari, they may be a tad bit slower in the quarter mile.

Trust me, it was a sad day watching them load the Ferrari but I'm sure I will have just as much fun, if not more, in the H1.  Not to mention that this will not be my first and last Ferrari.  I have my sights on a Ferrari 360 or possibly a Gallardo in the near future.

Welcome Wilf. I have had a couple of Ferrari's in the past. Had some fun in them but as far as grins per mile the Hummer is hard to beat. Look forward to the pics.
