I think you can get a rack with a ladder form Gobi, but they are not cheap.

If the sole purpose is access then I would also advice one of those tire step things. But the ladders look nice though.

The tire step is a sweet idea. I would have never thought of that. I like the ladder look, and depending on how much weight the roof rack can hold, and how big (of roof rack) you get, the ladder would come in handy if you slept on the roof rack when camping.

The Gobi ladders just attach to the rear door. They can be used with any rack although it obviously won't match. The tire steps or a hitch step are a good idea too.

The GOBI rear ladder looks great on the web site and would provide convenient roof access, does anyone have a picture of it on the back of an H3?

The pic you posted is clear, thanks. I called the company and the salesperson suggested a look at the specs for the install, to my surprise they look to be pretty easy to follow. Think i found my next obsession (oops meant 'next accessory').

love that h3...awesome job if it's yours!! Do you have a front pic of the rack? Curious to see how far forward it extends towards the windshield. Most ones I've seen sit too far back to be usefull for mounting lights.

That's MarkM's truck. He's done an amazing job on it. One of the best looking H3's I've seen.

Here's a shot he posted on another thread that shows the front of the rack.
