Hi guys. I have had my 2003 H2 for about 3 weeks now and I have to say that its an awesome vehicle to drive! Driving has become fun again! I am wondering at what speed the transmission would go into 4th gear or overdrive? I find that I don,t really notice a 4th gear change. When I,m doing about 65mph the tach is just under 2000rpm. This is with the shifter in D. Also, when driving around the city at 35-40mph do any of you guys have the gear selector in 3rd? Is it ok to use 3rd for city driving? Sorry for all the questions but I want to have this vehicle for along time.

I would suggest you put the Trans in [D] Drive, not 3rd or any other position for regular driving.  You should get a lock up with the coverter just over 45mph under normal acceleration.  Watch the tach.  If you are not sure, have it checked by a reputable trans. shop or a dealer.  It is an automatic, let it do its job as designed.

Thanks for the reply. I will try watching the tach for gear change around 45mph (or here in Toronto) approx.75kph.
