I am living in Muscat Oman. I own a 2006 model H3 and wanting to take it back to the States with me when I return. I was wondering what the difference in specs might be concerning H3 exported to other countries, particularly the Middle East. If I am to bring it home, I was wondering if anyone might have some clues what issues I would face bringing it in to the country. Specifically things like emissions controls and anything else that may cause a problem with bringing it in to the US. Or if someone can point me in the right direction as far as looking for the information, I would really appreciate it.

Wouldn't you get more money for your H3 if you sold it in Oman?

My thinking is why sell it here when I can ship it home and then I don't have to buy another vehicle when getting home. As for the H3 market here, it seems unsteady. Not a large base for estimating resale value. Unless it is a Toyota or other Japanese vehicle, resale value here in Muscat isn't that high. This seems particularly true of US made vehicles. I may end up selling it, but still trying to figure out all my options.
