The best bet is for you to get the 2008 H3 which is out already.

get an H2, they fixed the intermediate steering shaft long ago on those . . . . . and warranties are a wonderful thing - you get repairs for free and you get to drive a rental like a rental for a few days.  life is full of unknowns, if you don't take a risk once in a while you'll never really enjoy what this world has to offer.

Seems the fix is in, and the consensus is that it works.  Warranty job done in less than a full day.  http://www.hummerforums.com/m_83353/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#83406

The fix is in you'll need it on the 07, the mech. can tell just by looking at the shaft.  Just got back from my dealer and they're orderring the part for me, I was there for all of 5 mins.  They said that your safe to drive with the old shaft, so just have them check to see if you'll need it.  I got the later model '07 so I think it's on all '07 models.

Have to agree with Trey124 as i got mine from the same dealer.  They order the part for me as well....said they would only have my ride for a few hours so.....and from others thathave had it done already seems that it works well.....CANT WAIT
