Thanks again and sure you can jump in :) I mean I am in no sahara coditions.... I work in a Beverage Plant..... many trucks pickup and deliver every day, ofcourse there is regular pavement but most of their parking area is gravel and dirt, so cars usually get dirty parking in the area...... I really only drive here for a minute or so when I come in and then leave work.....

ORIGINAL: illusn There are a couple of things missing: The kit for the 2006 H3 comes with a bracket that bolts to the bottom of the tube and to the side of the head for added support. It also has a area on top for the sensor to be bolted too. Heres my two cents, save your money and just install the air filter instead of the whole kit. I had the kit for about a week and took it off to much "air swooshing" noise for me. I then installed just the air filter, truck felt the same. One of the best aftermarket parts I installed was the Air Raid Throttle Spacer. You are the first person that didn't get all the parts with their K&N kit I've heard of...Also true enough, the sound is louder than the air box filter too, that takes some getting use to if you're not expecting it..But it's only howls a little with heavy acceleration. And last; If you feel or notice a benifit with the AIRaid throttle body spacer, then more power to you..Again, this thing is a worthless gimick in my opinion and it actually adds a bit of intake restriction. It is supose to swirl the air as it pass through the thing...But once the air is in the intake manifold chambers, it is also swirled for the same reason the Spacer claims it does..So in effect the process of swirling the air is double done needlessly, but I'm not trying to shoot you down if you feel it is worthy. I understand you comments and don't feel you are trying to shoot me down. I was just giving my two cents and trying to save him some money. What I mean by parts missing (my kit had everything). I was referring to your photo, I didn't see the bracket that mounts to the bottom of the tube and to side of the head, and the sensor that needs to be mounted on the top of the tube. AirRaid, all these years I was also hesitant about installing this item. But after hearing numerous stories from friends who have installed this on numerous vehicles and their claims. I decided to try it since the H3 needed all the help it could get. Since this is such a easy install, I have removed it tested the vehicle, replaced it and tested the vehicle and there is a difference. For $100 investment a noticeable difference could be felt versus a $250+ investment for a airfilter system. But still its only a 5 cyl. 07 Cadillac Escalade 06 H3 05 BMW 545i 04 H2 03 MB E320 02 Harley Davidson Truck 00 Lincoln Navigator and the list goes on...

Dennis, given my situtation, would you install the yellow filter on top of the air intake or you think i might be ok without it?
