Black Rock Desert Run

shortbus -> Black Rock Desert Run (11/6/2005 1:45:55 AM)

a few pics from the run we had today. nothing extreme, although i was able to twist the bus enough to get one back wheel off the ground, but couldn't get a pic. should be some good ones from the other participants. 13 in all, 2 H3s, 3 H1s, the rest H2s. it's amazing what you find after driving 35 miles into the desert. in the middle of nowhere, a car graveyard. nothing for miles in any directions, did they fall out of the sky? and i broke something in the front of the bus, not sure what, but not enough to fall apart on the 200 mile drive home.

it is nice having it relatively close. we had some light snow on the way, as we went over the donner pass, so we'll be doing a snow run early next year too. this is pretty nice territory, we have mountains, desert and coast all within a 250 mile radius. and none of the big city hassles. glad you liked the pics.

here's a little bit of snow, going over donner summit.

Looks like a great time!

it was fun, thanks. and i found what's broken, missing a body mount rubber piece in front of the front tire. top is still there, bottom one is completely gone. was gone before this run too, since the muck from the river crossing is packed in there.
