07TacticalH3 -> Wheel Wells? (8/24/2007 8:56:28 AM)

Hello Guys,

Upon driving home last night crossed a construction area where they were cutting up concrete and my H3 got covered even into all the little spots in the wheel wells.  Pi**ed me off.  I power washed them and i still see the powder .........so what do you guys use to get them clean and staying clean?

My wife says im so picky that even the littlest speck of dirt i freak out......but i say..."OH WELL"  love my H3....

THANKS GUYS

I think your wife must know mine[:D][:D].   I just use a old wash mit (I save the old ones til they sorta disintegrate, and use them just for undercarriage stuff etc...) and regular auto wash soap.  The smooth plastic inside the wells usually cleans up very nicely then.

Yep, I did the same thing runnin down the hwy couple weeks ago, except I saw the concrete cutting goin on up ahead so I slow down to minimize the fling factor, and some BIMBO in a Durango gos sailin around me at the last possible second,  jumps right in front of me like a NASCAR pass throwing that confounded crud all over my black 3[:@][:@]  I'd  a liked to beeetch at her, but my 13year old was with me so I just mumbled stuff to myself[:)]

I'm thinking of doing a little engine detail post this weekend when it stops raining.  Probably will.

I use any type of LEAVE ON Tire Dressing!!!

Just spray it in the wells and looks good as new111

I used the rest of the can of CD-2 that Doc Olds suggested we use on the engine....  day 1 it still looks fantastic.

HummBob, we forgot to tell them that another added benefit of spray on tire dressing and detailer spray in the wheel wells is winter time fenderberg reduction.  Keeps that nauseous snow/salt/ice road gerdo sliding off, for a while anyway.[;)]

hilljob26 -> RE: Wheel Wells? (10/2/2007 3:29:03 AM)

winter time is pert near crucial for sparying the wheel wells

Muddydawg75 -> RE: Wheel Wells? (10/2/2007 4:27:04 PM)

The CD-2 is holding up nicely....

I detailed the engine of the workvan and it looks showroom fresh....  with 21,000 miles.

Fling some mud up under there and you won't even notice the little spots.

If that doesn't like everybody else said soap and water with some NTX tire shine works well.

I agree with Stan, the CD2 works well on the wheel liners and keeps them clean looking.  But, the undercarriage restorer and cleaner at Hummer Solutions should be on your shelf for spraying the undercarriage after off roading.  Haven't used the HS product on my wheelwells but might give it a try next month after coming back from offroading at Homestead.

I have always used spray on foam tire "shine" but I went out today and I noticed that something has been eating the black off of my wheel wells... it's turning from black to a greyish black color... what would cause this? I have always used foam for my wells, but I don't know....

Are you using the Armor All spary on stuff??
