I agree with TL.....

That is one nice / ugly ass fish.......

Is that a typical size for a sturgeon or has that one been Schwarzenegger'ed ?

(Pardon my ignorance on the subject, but I have never seen one of those guys before)

Holy crap ! ! !  Those suckers get big------per your link:

There are a few fish every season that will run 10 to 13 ft. in length and will weigh in at 500 to 1200 lbs. These are truly spectacular specimens, the apex of their kind. Most of the Sturgeon that are caught by sports anglers will range in size from about 3ft. to 7ft. and weigh between 20 and 250lbs.

What the hell do you hook 'em with, a WARN 12,000 lb winch and synth cable?

Would you have to shoot it in the head to get it in the boat?

Are those eatin' fish or just for sport?

**********************************************************************************************************************************************

I think this is the biggest fish caught in Texas and it doesn't even come close to those leviathans you guys are reeling in ! !

290 lb alligator gar taken with a Muzzy tipped arrow and 80 lb bow.

Personal Note: I got one of the things (way smaller) bow fishing one time and it is, in my opinion, THE NASTIEST fish in the water.
There are however some folks who actually eat these prehistoric looking bastards. They are so full of bones, that they
have to be done up in a pressure cooker to break 'em down.....

honestly speaking....I don't know if I could enjoy fishing everyday knowing that them basterds are in the water under me.....I'll stick with my northern waters where Pike and Pickeral are the worst things we have to worry about  Then again, that's also probably why them good ole southern boys carry 44's in their boats too
