ha!  yeah mark, gonna give her a go.  hopefully, a loose bolt wont fall into the valve again.  nothing like breaking down in the middle of nowhere.  anyways, i'll do a little recon mission and get back w/ you regarding the details.  from what garrett's saying, it sounds like the 3 of us we'll have to make a day trip out there together soon .

garrett, again, thanks for the info!

after saturday, i plan on being the envy of my jeep friends

and remember, if you bite the big one over there, you are close enough for me to come get your lanky ass if necessary !

I'll PM you my cell if you'd like.

As for a run......that would be kick ass. Off the top of my head, I can think of the following local boys that might be interested.

Unfortunately, my stupid ass, ever changing schedule might prove to be the death of me.........

Just some food for thought.....If we get enough interest, maybe a new thread is in order....

Good Luck, be safe, have some fun.....and above all...Kick some Jeep Ass.........

UPDATE:  well, as Garrett said, Barnwell is definitely a blast!  and as promised, i saved a jeep !!!  my friend's boyfriend got her jeep's rear axle hung up on a boulder.  good thing i brought a tow strap.  anyways, the trails were a lot of fun, but not all of them were marked accurately .  came across a handful of 2 stars that should've been 4 (probably due to the wash out from all of the rain a few weeks ago).  also, the trails weren't cleared of high brush as well as i had expected, so i've got a crap load of scratches to buff out.  guess im about to test the theory about the paint quality...ah well, gives my ride some character.  i got myself into one pickle that really freaked me out, but i just kept calm and trusted those hummer engineers.  i got out of it unscathed and left everyone w/ a great impression regarding h3s and my driving skills (i give all the credit to the ride tho...ha).  all-in-all, it was SO worth it!  we definitely need to take a dallas-area hummer forums convoy out there.

lil d

ps - i cant talk too much trash about the jeeps.  they did great and are fun rides...but i do recall being the only one w/ my a/c on while sitting in a comfortable seat blaring xm .

sorry for the delayed response.  any takers on a trip for saturday 9/29?  if we want to carravan, we can meet at one of the dealerships or something around 8 or 9am.  spend the day trail riding and spotting until like 4pm.  then be back by about 630.  i have to stress the possibility of scratches.  i'm spending all day tomorrow washing, buffing (and i dont mean my biceps), and waxing.

What exactly is going on in that last photo?

Wow, looks like you had a great time.....How about your support staff?

Didn't let Odie drive did you?

Remember what happened last time

So....Do you want to start a new thread so we can flesh out this BM trip ?

I'm in as long as the schedule permits.....I may not know my actual availability till the last minute....(I HATE "IT" PROJECTS)

mark, that last photo was of us hooking up the tow strap.  believe it or not, that jeep didnt have any hooks...at least in the front.  so, we literally looped around the front bumper.

my support staff included a couple of friends/co-workers.  kat didnt tag along this time.  and, i definitely did NOT let odie drive

thanks again for organizing the BM (yes, the bowel movement) trip.

OK....So who was pulling who?

As for the BM trip......I won't know my availability until the last minute. However, I'll
do what ever I can to help get this thing underway and lay the groundwork for future trips.

(There is a big argument over some work projects and where they will fall on the September time line)
