I'm Polish, Irish, Italian and German (so I have been told by my family, but seriously doubt they are right) I know my grandmother's side is 100% polish so I may very well be at least 50%. Well actually Maciej is not Michael, it's Matthias or Matthew... I go by Matt most of the time anyway...
I've never met anybody here in the US who's first name was Matthias, in Poland however it's quite popular and different from Matthew (which is Mateusz)
