ORIGINAL: CruisinCarAudio Even the spare tire has a tire sensor in it, they did that so you could use that in the mix when you rotate your tires, The steps in the manual arent necessary, i thought i had to do it when i had the tires rotated at 7500, but the hummer service manager, said it wasnt necessary because the system will reset itself after about 400 miles, i was skeptical but it did, almost right on the money, the sensor in each tire send a signal once every 60 seconds at speeds over 40mph, and once per hour at idle, hope this helps Yes, the spare has a sensor, but AFAIK, it is not monitored. I rotated mine in when I got a flat and the SERV TPM message came on and stayed on until I swapped them back. And I drove well over 400 miles. Are you sure the dealer rotated in your spare? Usually they won't unless you tell them to.
