This is a good post, so i have to leave a little something. I haven't had my H2 for long now, but generally responses are from guys giving some sort of compliment. This is always nice and much appreciated. Although, the other day I got by far the worst response which was hilarious to me. My buddy and I were at whataburger around 4 am after a long night of partying and we get our food and start to leave. Then, I look to my left and some deustchbag maybe 20 years old has two middle fingers in the air and a chicken strip in his mouth and the angriest look I have ever seen on a single persons face. He was with like 3 of his buddies and then they all start flicking us off. I can't really understand why people would do **** like this, but I guess jealousy just took place or something. Anyways, just thought I'd share...

Although I'm new to the Hummer scene, I've been the victim of this type of deplorable action/vandalism by others throughout the ownership of two of my current vehicles...a Corvette and a new Chrysler. Just last week, for no apparent reason other than possible ignorance and/or jealousy, someone decided to 'key' the right/rear quarter panel of my Corvette as it was parked in a shopping center parking lot. A few months ago, and in a completely different parking lot, somebody purposely scratched the upper left/rear quarter panel of my Chrysler.

Although both of these vehicles have always received nothing but rave compliments (they both look sharp) from those who I've come across at various different places/venues, I can only surmise that the intentional damage was caused due to jealousy; i.e., the fact that the perpetrator might not possibly have the financial wherewithal to afford such vehicles. I am in now way wealthy, but simply one who has worked hard, saved/spent wisely to be able to accumulate those physical possessions that I own/have owned.

BTW, I went ahead and joined this forum prior to becoming a fully fledged Hummer H2 owner myself. My wife and I did 'test drive' a pre-owned Hummer H2 last week, and we were very impressed how comfortable the ride was and how easy it was to maneuver...and yes, it was our first time driving/riding in a Hummer. We have decided to sell/trade-in our Corvette and utilize those funds toward the purchase of a pre-owned Hummer H2 from our local Hummer dealer. I'm currently awaiting a prospective buyer's final decision with regard to my Corvette, and hope to be 'making the leap' to a Hummer H2 sometime soon.

Well, I guess living in a state where our 'Governator' is famous for driving his own H1 when he wasn't filming his action movies, I really haven't noticed any citizens paying any particular attention to ours, be it positive or negative, during our three days of H2 ownership; however, my son and his buddies continue to remain 'awestruck'. Heck, you'd think they were riding in a limo or something, by reading their facial expressions via the H2's rearview mirror.
