Before I went HID, I used the SILVERSTAR'S!! I was really impressed. Way whiter and brighter than OEM.

I have NO IDEA about the ULTRA'S though!!!

I've had silverstars in my last 3 vehicles and wouldn't go for anything else except HID but can't really justify the cost.  The ultra's are definitely a step up even from the regular silverstars ... can't go wrong with these bro!

Reminds me of one of those things you had when you were a kid, where you squezed the little dude and the eyes poped out.

The Silverstar Ultras are about 10% brighter than the non Ultras. I put them on my H3 and they are nice and white and decent range. For the low cost and compatibility they were a easy decision to make. Sure do like the HID blue/white units but they are big bucks and a lot of those marketed on ebay for example are single beam only.

A true HID system should have ballast systems and not some 8K blue light you just plug into the existing harness, I think you can damage your harness with those types.

I don't like the look of the projector style on the H2 either. This is my 4th H2 and I've always wanted to go with HID. I've been looking for something that is as close to stock HID as possible which I think is about 4300K or so.

I found a place that has the complete HID kits for I think about $180 shipped. These were single low beam units, and others that posted were happy with them. I just wanted to see what others feedback was using them in the stock housings.

Do they have a similar product for the fog lights as well? KC's even?

I can just see me running around with Blue/White headlights, Yelow/White KC OR lights and White fogs....

I'm just anal enough that all that **** HAS to match....
