I want to add XM to my Base 2007 H3 - does anyone know if the 2007 H3 onstar aerial is dual/tri purpose ?? i.e. can I use the same unit for the XM antennae to avoid adding another ?? My dealer suggests "yes", but I want to save some cash and do the install myself. Thanks Andrew Mumford

I just went thru this situation last week.... If your H3 has the XM as an option, then the odds are good that the antenna will have the "tan lead" coming off of it. The Tan wire is the XM antenna, and if that is not there, you'll probably have to run a separate after-market antenna or splurge for the GM part. Search the threads, there is alot of information on the subject. The connectors are located directly behind the glove-box, clamped to a piece of the dash. Check there and you'll have a better idea of what actual unit is installed on the roof. Good luck, Manford
