good evening Humm Peeps...my name is Darren, im very new to the hummer experience...i was just wanting to ask you guys a few questions about the Truxxx leveling kit for the H3 ('06)...is it something i should take to a mechanic to install?...im not mechanically challenged, but i wanna make sure i dont tear it apart and CANT get it back together...haha...and is the KIT worth the money?...i wanna put 18's or 20's with 35" mud grapplers...what do you guys think about that also?...any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated...sorry for the long post...THANKS...Darren

It has been my experience on other vehicles that this is not difficult to do on your own, but unless you have a shop just around the corner that will let you bring it in as soon as you are done to get an alignment, I recommend a shop do it.

I agree with Linus.  You have to get it aligned right away anyhow.  Might as well leave the shop do it, or the dealer for that matter.

Put the Truxx kit on my 2007 Adventure, had the local frame and alignment shop do it. It wasn't all that expensive and as I get older it's worth it to have the professionals assemble my toys. Really do like the stance and ride with the kit installed.

Don't sweat it have  an authorize dealer install it for you. Expect to pay $350.00 for kit and $150.00 for installation and alignment.

Just put in a couple of extra hours at work and you'll be alright.
