LOL.  Well, Well.  At least you don't have to change that tattoo now.

Wow, look at  those tires shine.   You're going to have to get some dirt on that thing and stop looking like a soccer Mom.

Glad to hear it worked out for you.  Since mine is already an 07, trading it in to get rid of those scratches would not have been an option.  I have been working on gettting them out and will post some pics when I am finished.

Remember, drive it like you stole it and have a happy 4th.

Wendell

SWEET Trey!    And...It's the continuing now going on 8 month saga of the extended warranty that GM promised me after needing the head replacement at 5K miles (a gazillion threads & posts re: it). They have promised it, taken it away and then "re-promised"  via letters, emails and telephonically...8 mos later I still do not have it..nothing more to tell LOL

The tattoo went over great at the dealer, they had to get my new truck from a dealer in PA since I wanted to keep the same color. Wendell seriously try that Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Clay Bar, you saw the scratches on mine and it took them completly out, no one at the dealer noticed anything.  Just make sure you wax after you use that product.  LawWyfe I thought that was what you were talking about, have you had anymore problems with your H3?

Trey, just a few minor probs (replaced front grill due to peeling, replaced little cargo net ring in back)... nothing that has me angry and trashing it.    But then the dealer is 10 mins away from me, they always provide me a caddy loaner and I love my H3!   I also realize that NO vehicle make/model, regardless of how reliable it is - is always 100% without any problems.

There is 1 ongoing problem that they can't seem to fix. I am about to take it in for the 3rd time for a rather irritating loud rattle type noise under the hood - is right behind the dash and approx placement of the AC area & happens upon acceleration & deceleration at very low RPMs. It came back from the head replacement with this noise (did not have it beforehand.) Took it back and they had it for a week - 1st 3 days they had it, they could not figure out what it was. They then determined it was "AC hoses rattling/rubbing against something."  Picked it up..noise still there and worse!  Meanwhile some here said loose heatshield nuts/bolts whatever...none loose.  2nd time they said it was the brake cable rubbing against something underneath and they replaced brake line or something - was hard to read the typos on the workorder.  Picked it up...noise much worse!  I must take it back in a 3rd time when I get back from vacation in a couple weeks.  Bottom line is they obviously don't know what it is or else how to fix it.

OH...Also, just replaced my stereo unit because "it was bad." I had never used the cd player in it until recently because I use XM or my ipod mostly....discovered (after I threw away a couple perfectly good <homemade> cds thinking they were bad)  that the cd player did not work properly - would play 3-4 tracks and then stop. New one works great. No other probs thus far tho - but then of course I have never had it out of the regular 4WD either to test that stuff.  Maybe I should but there just isnt anywhere to 4WD around here - plus I am a "city gal!" LOL...  So all in all <crossing fingers & knocking on wood> it is a good vehicle thus far.

Try going to a different dealer if that is an option.  Do they have the lemon law in Florida?  Maybe they can just give you a new 07 for all your problems.

Yes, I could do that if I wanted to brave the traffic of Miami and drive 45 mins to get there and I may have to IF they dont get it right the next time. As for the Lemon Law...it states that the vehicle must basically be "out of commission" each time. Mine is not, just an aggravating loud rattle (which I drown out with the stereo most times) and all else is well.  Also, I don't consider it a lemon and am not the type of person to raise holy hell with small issues. Yes it had a major repair but again, it's fixed and all is well there. Plus my little service guy treats me so nicely (he recently had my mudflaps put on for next to nothing because hubby didn't want to be bothered and I wasn't about to start drilling holes myself.)  I tend to be dangerous when I get my hands on power tools!

Trey, can't believe you did that!!  Ha! Ha!  Are you coming down to Kinzlow or Homestead?  Hope to see you at one of those events.  My 2008 H3 Alpha is supposed to be delivered to the dealer by the end of July.  I am going to put 20 inch wheels on it.  I will post some pictures when I get it hopefully before Kinzlow.  If not then we will probably just take the H2 to Kinzlow.

I know you will love the X with the options you have.  Post some pictures when you get a chance.

Is that you Glen??

Would of been cheaper just to buy two new 07 door panels
I would of waited another month and got the 08

First off I needed to upgrade to get the rear locker and underbody shields plus bigger tires.  Secondly it's only money my wife can make more...lol.  The 08s won't be any different than the new 07s plus with the deals they got going on it didn't cost me that much extra.

Glen, glad to see you on here, the 14th is out because my wife has to go into work that day. Are you gonna make skins for the H3?

It doesn't matter if we wheel on the 14th or not.  My friends go every week so I might still go hit some trails to learn them better.  Anyone is more than welcome to attend.  My buddy wheels his Samari in the same paths as the big Chevy's with 50" tractor tires.

Glen I emailed you some info on what it's all about.  Like I said... the 14th was just a date that Trey and I picked out of a hat.  We can go anytime.
