Hello fellow Hummer enthusiasts...

This is my first post to the forum, although I've been lurking for a while. Everyone seems so helpfull.

I have a few questions regarding the Soft Top H1...

1. How well does the soft top hold in the cold air from the AC in the summer and heat in the winter? (I live in Las Vegas, so this is a big concern of mine)

2. Is there a lot of wind noise when driving?

3. How easy is it to remove and put back on?

Any help on these questions would be greatly appreciated. I will be in the market for an H1 in the next few months and I have been doing my research a little to decide the one best suited for me. Thanks.

#1 I cant tell you 100% because my softtop is in very bad condition but even so during the canadian winter the insulated top of mine did a pretty good job of keeping it comfortable in the winter. as for the AC i dont know mine hasnt worked since i bought it :(

#2 yea there is alot of noise while driving and like i said mine is in bad condition and doesnt fit tight etc so that could be why also when you take off the top it whistles due to the gutter it slides into at the front.

#3 the easiness isnt so.. It usually takes 2 people to do it right but I do it myself alot and it takes me about 15-20min to put it on but only about 5 min to take it off but also this is due to the condition of my top, cant just slide it on have to slid it so much and keep the fabric wrapped around the tubing that goes into the gutter plus make sure it doest tear anymore! heh!

I agree with the last posting. I own a 95 soft top. If it comes off; a hard top is going on. It has lasted for the last ten years, I keep it as clean as I can. Orginally it was garaged. The last five years outside.
