All of the 2008 H3s have the silver part in the front bumper.

My last two cars were first year models (the Land Rover was the biggest mistake I've ever done)..Although my HUMMER has been problem free except for cracked roof plastic and a dashboard buzz that I fixed with foam padding...I will be waiting for 1... the warranty to run out on my H3 and it will be the 2010 model year I'll be getting of the Alpha with Offroad package.

Hopefully by 2010 the H3 will have the 4.5L diesel in them. The new 2008 CTS in europe will have that diesel and it is supposedly going to be in he 2009 CTS here in the US if things go well.

Why on earth do all you dealers put those ugly name badges on all the cars you sell.  Is that a mid-west, east-coast thing?  There is not one dealer in california who does that, it would be a waste because everybody would just take them.

First thing I would do if I bought that, remove that DAMNED annoying HUGE SEWELL Badge, WTF?

Drove an Alpha yesterday. I have to admit, I was not all that impressed with the difference in acceleration. I'm still thinking of getting one because I plan to tow my Esprit to the race track, but it wasn't the difference I expected.

Interesting, thats not the first I have heard of that.  That's the main reason ( besides a little more power for off roading ) that I would want one is for the accelertion.  I dont have anything to tow (yet) .  I like reviews like that, it makes me feel like I dont need to go out and get an alpha.

hummerguy, have you dropped the alpha into 4low yet?  i was testing one of ours out on our course(w/ the offroad package) yesterday, and almost launched it over our 12 ft. hill.  i just didn't expect that much of an increase in torque.  this thing is going to be an offroad beast.

The low end is much more noticable - just in low speeds and medium speed takeoffs is where I saw the biggest difference.  Haven't gotten one off-road or on our course yet - but our customers are happy that we have some in our loan car fleet..
