Just keep in mind, all of these problems you guys are experiencing are NOT normal.  Most of us have had flawless H3's.  There is a anti-lemon law out there.  I would definitely investigate it.  There are always going to be lemons in a batch of cars.  Unfortunately, someone out there inevitably will get stuck with one.  It's unfortunate you guys seems to be the ones, but all you can do is hope your dealers are understanding and willing to work with you.  As we have all heard stories on here, some dealers can be real dikheads (excuse me ).  I am very grateful the 3 I go to are all great as far as customer service (Weil Hummer, Naperville Hummer, and Schepel Hummer).

Now, knowing what I know NOW, that I have mentioned this loose drive shaft the last 3 times and have been told it was normal, I may revisit my whole issue where my manual transmission/clutch is very rough while driving at low RPMS when accelerating and decelerating, even though it used to be smooth and is marketted as a smooth-shifting manual tranny.  That's another issue.  Hopefully after finding this one, they'll magically "find" my issue.

It's unfortunate that you have to suffer until it's  discovered there is a problem.

So what is this nav system you guys are talking about? Is that the official H3 navigation system they install from the dealer? Why does it require a second battery? I have my Tom Tom Go 300 hardwired into the H3 where it comes on and off with the ignition and I never have a problem with battery drainage.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that the problems I have would warrant investigating an anti-lemmon law by any stretch of the imagination.  My problems have been pretty minor compared to others, and are in line with problems that people have with any new car, any make, and model.  And I don't think that I have a "bad apple" either, but I would say that I have had more issues with a brand new car than I would like to have had.

Fortunately for me, my dealer has been AWESOME.  I cannot even think of anything they could do more for me than what they have already done.  That has been a HUGE relief, and help.

Got it back yesterday, and probably put 200 miles on it in 24 hrs..  Working great!

About the Inilex, its a Nav system underneath the car that is, as far as I know, an add-on you can pay for (GPS Navigation $1695 on the window sticker as an add-on option), but my dealer threw it in for free.  It runs on it's own separate battery since it's an always on live system, even when the car is off so it will not drain the main battery, as in my case before (the upgraded version has a new type of battery of it's own).  All it really does is allow you to track your vehicle, locate it, follow it, setup a geo-fence, MPH restrictions, when it starts, when the unit is disconnected, etc..etc..  I log into their website, you can check it out at  (www.inilex.com) and do it all from there.  If any triggers you setup are set-off it will alert you on your cell and email you.  I'm not sure what the criteria is for what vehicles it's on, what dealers use it, and how's its distributed.  I talked to my step-father who is the service mgr. at Indy Hummer and he has never heard of it, so I don't know if it's a west coast thing, or what.  I know some dealers use it for lot management.

Cheers.  Have a great weekend.

sgt940--if you think you have the same problem then point your dealer to this topic in the forum. If you read through this thread it looks like dealers aren't going to have a solution until mid to late July. I've been running with this problem for over two months and 6000 miles and am waiting for the dealer to be ready to address it. As to tire pressure, you'll get a much quicker answer on the inside of your door panel, like you said, than waiting for us to get you an answer.

I have to say your posts are a bit hard to read because of the spelling. Google's toolbar has a spell check that can help you with spelling. You don't have to be an ace at spelling but it would certainly make your posts easier to understand--and you'll get better replies for it.

When you say Indy Hummer, do you mean a dealership in Indiana or is that just the name of it? Just curious since I'm not far from Indiana.

The Hummer dealership I do business with (Houston, Tx) is well aware of this particular problem.  I'm now officially on a waiting list for a part replacement/problem correction, etc.  I also have to add that the ratle noise/feeling on the pedals is a real pain in the *(&(^^6.   Waiting for a resolution of the problem is painful .....I still however, LOVE my 07' H3 .......

Ah ok.  The Badlands off-road park we are going to on August 4th isn't too far away from Indianapolis.

I submitted an online service request with McGinnis Hummer, but I actually made my H3 purchase via McGinnis Cadallac.   Don from the service department just called and I missed the call.   I'll be calling him back shortly to pick his brain on the issue, see if he is familiar with the situation.  I'll let you know how it goes.

UPDATE:

After 2 more phone calls and finally calling my cellphone, Don was able to reach me.   Kudos to Don for the effort he took to get back in touch with me in response to my service request!

I had mentioned in the request that I was experiencing a "front-end-rattle", and to this Don basically responded with the topic of this forum... and all I had to do was state "yes, that is my issue EXACTLY".

He mentioned that GM Engineering has issued a bullitin regarding the issue, and that a replacement part is being designed and tested right now.  (which we already knew about).   The temporary/interim solution is to service the H3 and replace the lower steering column, which Don stated has solved the issue for every H3 they have serviced except for one.   He also mentioned that he was not sure if the temp replacement would be a permenant fix, or if the same issue would occur again.   This seems like a rational disclaimer in my mind, and I agree with him, and that only time and mileage could tell us for sure.   He informed me that this issue was not a safety hazard, and that nothing is going to "fall apart" while driving down the road.

I have a service appointment setup for Mon. 23rd, and McGinnis will be setting me up with a loaner car for the "one-day" turn-around time.   Don said that they have done so many of these repairs already that they are very familiar with the procedure and have become very fast at the swap.    Nice to know!

So far no complaints about the service from McGinnis, they have been great.  I'm glad GM has acknowledged the issue and is working to not only temporarily fix it, but also looking for a new part to eliminate the problem.

I'll post more as the events play out.

they replaced ours with the current version and so far i guess it has helped.  the wife hasnt complained but i know it could happen again.  the turn around time is quick (same day if you take it early enough).  they replaced that, installed the trailer hitch and homelink and washed it in about 5-6hrs for us (sewell in dallas)

from my experience w/ the old-design replacement, it was temporary relief, but all-in-all nothing changed.  sewell gave me the same maybe/maybe not disclaimer that you got from mcginnis.  as long as their aware of it and are willing to take action, i'm cool with it.  to those debating the same solution, i'd just wait for the redesign.  its not worth the hassle to gain zero ground.  i just cant wait to get an update from the first person on here to get the redesign.  hopefully, gm didnt push this out of country like their engine assembly.  i hate to find a random bolt where it shouldnt be (sorry, venting from another post).
