All of the H3s I see have the signal light & foglights on in the day, but my H3 only has the headlamp on during the day. What dose everyone elses do?

I have noticed that also, most H3's (like mine) have the yellow parking lights on during the day, but now and then I see an H3 with the headlights on for their day time running lights.  Do you have your light setting on auto?  are your tail lights on during the day too?

They are set to auto, & the taillights are not on during the day.

I recall someone mentioning here that it all depended on when your H3 was manufactured. H3s with the parking lights for DRLs were manufactured early 2006. Mid 2006 and on, headlights are used as the DRLs. I could be totally off target though, my memory's failing...alcohol induced of course=) I think if you look on your driver side door jam, there should be a 'born on date'. As for me my DRLs are the headlights, although I wouldn't mind having the option.

Tis true.................Early H3's use the parking lights and later H3's use the headlights

H3 never used the fog lamps with the DRL..fogs are turned on with a button and come on only in auto mode when it's below the daytime light limits and then your headlights should be on too..if you turn to the manual mode, then the fogs will be on whenever the button is pushed.

My  DRL are the front Signal lamps

If thats true then people havent been buying H3's around here lately because it seems 99% of the H3's I see on the road have the parking lights on.

Regardless of what bulbs are being used for DRL lights, if you manually turn your headlamp switch to parking lamps and turn on your foglamps, it will appear from the front that the signals and fog lamps are DRLs. However, from the rear, if the headlamp switch is turned, the rear lights will also be on.

I keep my lights on auto (including fogs) and pulled the DRL fuse (#29, I believe).  Some may argue the safety issue.  And I agree they would help with my MR2..  I think they'll see my H3 coming down the road and are less significant.  I just don't like them; and hardly ever see other H3 owners driving with them on.

So who is the Electronics wizard or someone with a wiring diagram that can figure out how to change the DRLs to the fog lights.
